"Sam and I want to thank you for performing at our wedding. The choice of music was a nice complement to the setting and created the atmosphere we were hoping for. Now that nearly four weeks weeks have passed, we continue to receive complimemnts on how wonderful the music was. We couldn't have had better musicians." S & J, bride and groom

"We just wanted to say thank you for providing us with such beautiful music at our wedding last month... Although we were both pre-occupied and too nervous to really listen to the music, we were able to listen to a video of the ceremony and it was great! Our guests were also very impressed. Thanks again!" MDT, bride

"I'm sorry I didn't have a chance to chat with you on Saturday, but I wanted to thank you for your part in the wedding. The music was great, and it was the perfect accompaniment to our simple ceremony. I really appreciate your help!" EC, bride

"Thanks so much for your help with our wedding music. Our guests especially loved the hammered dulcimer - it's perfect for a mountain wedding!" RJ, bridegroom

"Your help with selecting music for my daughter's wedding was very much appreciated. There are so many details in planning a wedding and you were able to take our worry about music away." MBT, mother of the bride

Wedding Music

While weddings have similarities, all are unique. Below are elements that are usually included, but we will be glad to work with you to create your idea of perfect wedding music. Please see the Ensembles page for music samples.

It is a good idea to book musicians early! Also, be sure to discuss any special requests with your musicians because some songs adapt better to certain instrument/vocal combinations.

Please feel free to download our Wedding Music Planner (at the bottom of the page) to help organize your musical selections.

Ceremony Music . . .

Prelude

Music typically begins 30 minutes before the ceremony as the guests are being seated. We have a large repertoire of tunes that includes traditional wedding music, waltzes, classical selections and hymns. Don't feel that you need to select each individual song; we can choose prelude music from our repertoire and will also consider any special requests you may have. We will play prelude music until we get a signal from a designated person that the wedding is ready to start, and if the wedding is delayed, we will continue with the prelude music until we receive a signal to go ahead with the processionals.

Processionals

First processional - Mothers and Grandmothers

Second processional - Groom, Groomsmen, Preacher,  Bridesmaids, Flower Girl, Ring Bearer

Third processional - Bride

During the Ceremony

Vocal - Under some circumstances, we can provide the accompaniment for a guest musician or we can sing for you

Unity Candle, Silent Prayer or other special moment - A meditative instrumental piece works well for this

Recessionals

First recessional - Bride, groom and wedding party

Second recessional - Music as the guests are leaving the ceremony area

After the Ceremony . . .

Cocktail Hour and/or Dinner Music

We can provide background music to create a festive atmosphere during this part of your day.

Dance Music for Receptions

We can provide a combo with several instruments and vocals for an evening of dancing.
